Senior Project

I want to learn to fix computers. I already know a lot more about computers than most people and I like taking things apart and putting things together and fixing things. I'm not sure what I want to do specifically yet though.

1) This kind of work involves sitting at a computer, typing, installing and upgrading things all day.

2) Education:

"An associate degree or some other type of formal training is typically the bare minimum requirement for becoming a computer repair technician. Technical/vocational schools and community/junior colleges offer the associate degree, while electronic device companies, the military, and other institutions provide job training. Certification is typically not required, but is very helpful when looking for employment or increasing salary with the current employer."

3) Four schools in the area where I can get this training:

4) Employment Outlook:

"Computer repair technicians have an excellent employment outlook, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, www.bls.gov, with an anticipated 18 percent growth rate between 2006 and 2016. This growth will open approximately 155,000 new jobs."
